| Brugmansia or Angel’s Trumpet is beautiful plant that can be grown outdoors
in warm climates or in pots and brought indoors in colder climates. They have a
luscious tropical appearance because of the large leaves. The Flower is a large
trumpet shape that is available in many colors. But the best feature of this
lovely bush is the heavenly scent that is released only at night. Links to Brugmansias and Daturas (Daturas are often confused with Brugmansias because of similar flowers.)

In many areas of South America various Brugmansia species are cultivated and
used in much the same way as Datura species are elsewhere. To this day the
ground seeds are mixed into the Chicha, the sacramental corn beer (Zea mays)
found everywhere on that continent. The combination of Datura seeds and
alcoholic drinks appears to be a global phenomena.
