ACUPRESSURE THERAPY - 300 Hours Prerequisite: None Educational Objectives: To produce a qualified acupressure therapist who possesses a basic understanding of anatomy/physiology, yin-yang & meridian theory, and various oriental acupressure techniques, knows the benefits and contraindications of acupressure and can give a professional acupressure treatment. Classes to complete Acupressure Therapy course: Anatomy/Physiology - 50 hours Basic Acupressure Points - 18 hours Acupressure History & Theory - 36 hours Acupressure Techniques - 36 hours Acupressure Applications - 36 hours Acupressure Practicum -100 hours Elective Courses - 24 hours Sequence and Frequency of Lessons of Class Sessions: Daytime or Evening class Students attend 25 hours on the average per week finishing this program in 12 weeks. |
| SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY - 200 Hours Prerequisite: Massage Therapy or Acupressure Therapy Educational Objectives: Advanced techniques of sports massage are presented to enhance his/her work in sports therapy field. Students learn to practice natural healing techniques based on sports massage and other gentle healing techniques. Processes of various sports-related muscular problems are presented so that the student can fully comprehend the condition of the patient. Classes to complete Acupressure Therapy course: Sports Anatomy & Physiology - 50 hours Sports Massage Techniques - 24 hours Sports Massage Applications - 48 hours Sports Massage Practicum - 60 hours Elective Courses - 18 hours Sequence and Frequency of Lessons of Class Sessions: Daytime or Evening class Students attend 25 hours on the average per week finishing this program in 8 weeks. |
ORIENTAL BODYWORK THERAPY - 200 Hours Prerequisite: Massage Therapy or Acupressure Therapy Educational Objectives: Advanced techniques of oriental bodywork therapy are presented to enhance his/her work in medical and clinical field. Students learn to practice natural healing techniques based on acupressure and oriental bodywork healing techniques. Processes of various abnormal body conditions are presented so that the student can fully comprehend the condition of the patient.
